Brushless DC Motor 4806-S01

It is well known that traditional brushless DC motors have high efficiency, long lifespan, and low noise. However, their prices are relatively high and the production threshold is quite high. Recently, our company has developed a brushless DC motor 4806-S01 specifically for cost-sensitive markets.

In terms of structure, some simplifications have been made. The motor body adopts the stator-external winding process, and the winding speed is much faster than before. This has reduced the labor cost. The housing is not a fully enclosed metal shell. Instead, it uses an engineering plastic design with heat dissipation ribs, which has saved the mold cost and made the weight lighter.

How about the performance of the brushless DC motor 4806-S01? After actual testing, its efficiency ranges from 75% to 80%, which is much higher than that of the same specification AC motors. In terms of noise, there is no commutator friction sound, making it much quieter than series-excited motors and shaded-pole motors. In terms of lifespan, the main wear parts are just two bearings, and it can last for two to three thousand hours without problem.

Where is the brushless DC motor 4806-S01 suitable for? Exhaust fans, bathroom ventilation, air purifiers, circulation fans, small water pumps, and the fans in vacuum cleaners - these are products that are cost-sensitive and want the advantages of brushless motors.

Of course, the brushless DC motor 4806-S01 also has some compromises. The starting torque is not large, and it cannot handle the conditions of high torque at low speeds. The speed accuracy is also average, and it is not suitable for servo control. But then again, the brushless DC motor 4806-S01 is cheap. The purchase price for large quantities can be no more expensive than some shaded-pole motors, and the electrical efficiency doubles.
